Can you tattoo a person who is drunk?

Comments

The tattoo artists I use would NEVER tattoo a person who was drunk. The are understanding if you want A drink prior to take the edge off. But if you came in obviously drunk - they would send you home.

I was in Vegas at a tatt parlor and there were drunk people in there wanting to get tattooed. I asked the artists if that was OK? They told me that while they will not tattooo someone who is VERY drunk - they have a form for people to fill out prior to the tattoo that asked them if they have been drinking or have taken any drugs. If the person says they are OK to get tatted, it's the call of the tattoo artist. The Vegas artists said MOST of the people coming in to see them are impulse tatts and many of them are pretty tipsy.

So - I think if you signed a form saying you were OK to be tatted - then it was up to them to say yes or no. If you did not sign a form and you feel you were taken advantage of - you can go back and talk to them. But they would not have tatted you if you did not ask them to, and pick out what you want, and where you want it. They might not even have realized you were drunk.

As a tattoo artist(In tokyo mind you) I know here we cant tattoo someone if they are drunk. Not a good idea to do it anyways as it causes you to bleed more. Morally its completely wrong. But if you signed the paper there is little you could do. the poster above me pretty much sums it up. If you are ever in tokyo I would be more that happy to fix up those stars for you. Peace!!!
